a tribute to the great moon cat
November 7, 2006 | Filed Under Poetry
hey there!
i am a cat,
and i am trapped
inside this plastic bag
its going to eat me
thankfully, it does not have any teeth
i have no idea how to get out of this
i know you will be finding this funny
or cute at the least
and feeling all amused about
my adventures with this plastic bag
but i don’t see why u are so amused
at a poor cat’s plight
particularly as u have the power
to remove me out of it
you humans they say -
are bestowed with the power of thinking
which is further evolved into logic
yet you sit there -
giggling like a dumb elephant
i am a Hindu
and in my next life – the tenth,
i will become a plastic bag
and eat you up
and all cats will stretch and enjoy the show
we won’t laugh or giggle or even smile
we are too royal for all that
sincerely,
moona

dear cat,
i was truely horrified on hearing that you got trapped in a plastic bag. i can think of few things which will come close to it in being truely horrific. nothing funny or amusing about it.
cheers,
n
ps: i like small letters too.
