When Anush Ran

Sometime back I had written a post called, Run Anush Run. Anush a friend of mine was running in the Chicago marathon. His birthday being today, I thought of dedicating another post to him.

He successfully ran the marathon and raised the money he had promised to for Ashanet. He ran the 26.2 miles in a little less than 5 hours. His practice times were much better, about 3 hours, but standing in cold Chicago before the race began was not exactly the best experience. He developed some blisters in the foot and I can imagine how painful it can be running with the pain.

I salute his spirit and wish him a very happy birthday. I think he turns 30 today. It is the age where most men attain half enlightenment and resort to drinking beer everyday.

Mumboji & Jumboji Have Come

Mumbo: Hi! the talking toad was just eaten by a snake. The snake is holy to Hindus so we didn’t jump on it and kill it. Also we were secretly scared of the snake ourselves.

Jumbo: Ehh! It’s not a secret anymore is it?

Mumbo: Jumbo, don’t interrupt me. I am giving an important message to our readers.

(Mumbo, says some mumbo-jumbo to Jumbo. Jumbo wiggles his bum and sits on his chair. The chair breaks and falls but Jumbo continues sitting on it.)

Mumbo: As I was saying the talking toad is dead. If you want to spend some silent moments with yourself, you can do so.

Jumbo: And MOAN and CRY…. hahahaha!

Mumbo: Shut up! Jumbo.

Welcome to our world. The world of helter-skelter. We will obfuscate your world no end. And if ever you are able to make sense of the chaos, we will christen you as the enlightened. But once you are enlightened you are doomed to confusion. The trick is to trick others and remain in confusion.

Jumbo: And one other thing, you must refer to us as Mumboji and Jumboji….. heee hahahahahaha
