Who am I?
April 8, 2007 | Filed Under life's answers
Today, I have found one of the answers I was seeking for a very long time. The question - Who am I?
I was seeing Lord of the rings for the very first time yesterday. I haven’t seen the movie or read the book before. I was surprised that how something so fantastic, could be so true. There are people around me who are fans of Tolkien. But none of them have pressed me hard enough to read his books. But it has ultimately happened and I will soon be off to buy the Hobbit. By the way the answer to that questions was - I think I am a hobbit.
Please see this page and then look at my answers below and then you decide. Though I don’t really care if you thin, I am not a Hobbit.
- A height of between two and four feet
some things can’t be changed - Feet with tough, leathery soles covered in hair (they seldom wear shoes)
not quite - Long skillful fingers
yes - Tendency towards chubbiness
yes yes - Little or no facial hair
hmm - An ability to disappear swiftly and silently
yes
- Excellent hearing and sharp eyesight
of course - No understanding of machinery more complicated than the watermill, forge bellows, and the hand loom
yes - A delight in wearing bright colors, particularly yellow and green
yes
- A love of food and drink (especially ale), eating a mere six times a day on average
yes yes yes - A love of laughter, jests, games, and celebrations
yes - A love of peace and quiet and “good tilled” earth
very very much - A particular love for the smoking of tobacco in small clay pipes
novel, will love it if i try, am sure
And this is so me….
Hobbits also remain youthful in spirits. They love jokes, play, parties, and especially eating. A normal hobbit day might include breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, lunch, tea, dinner and supper. Hobbits eat a diet quite British in composition, but are especially addicted to mushrooms, and can be very greedy about sharing them. In other ways, hobbits tend to be quite generous, offering food or welcome to other hobbits.
